Stoke - on - Trent is widely recognised as the cultural capital for all things Northern Soul, with clubs like the Torch. The recent revival has seen Mary Fox host a radio Stoke show on Friday's between 7pm and 9pm that has a worldwide following.   The King's Hall has also been the venue for a British film based around the whole culture of Northern Soul Music.

The film had the working title of Souled Out but is now called Soulboy will be released in late 2010.
